Trekking through the sub-tropical vegetation of Nepal as you witness the massif Himalayan ranges in your front is a beautiful feeling. Mohare Danda trek is one of such short trek in the Annapurna region which bestows you with the stunning views.


The 11 days Mohore (Mohare) Danda Trek takes you to the height of 3,300m. From the top, you can witness the prodigious Himalayas views of Pokhara Valley. Mount Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and the top of Mt Manaslu can be seen. Phewa Lake and World Peace Stupa including other landmarks are visible. The stacking and piling of green hills to the south-east makes the mesmerising moments.


Mohare Danda Trek is a recently popular trail as a result of the local community. This Trekking Trail creates different new destinations such as Mohare Hill, Bans Kharak, Lespar, Suntala Kharka. Danda Kharka, and Nagi Village. During the trek, you will not only experience the prodigious beauty of the Himalayas but also support the sustainability of the local community. You will stay in a community-based lodge or home-stay.


Through the 11-day adventure, you trek to the local villages and get to interact with them. The itinerary is perfectly designed for you to learn about the unique culture of Nepal and their lifestyle. Also, you can witness the lush sub-alpine vegetation. The forest of Pine, Rhododendron, Oak, and Maple accompany us through the trek. If you are lucky, you might spot some rear wild animals during the trek.


Mohore(Mohare) Danda is a challenging trek. But walking through the steep mountain trail demands a good level of fitness. Every day, we will spend about 4 to 5 hours for the hike. Therefore, having sound health is important. In trek is prodigious throughout the year. Autumn ( September to November) is obviously among the most crowded months. The colourful blooms of the flower make Spring (March to May) trek beautiful.


Since the trek is confided to lower altitude, winter trekking is also prodigious. Snowfall is only occasional and contributes to the fun. The trek is also possible during monsoon (June to August). During monsoon, you will need a flexible itinerary.

Trek Overview:

The journey to Mohore Danda begins from Kathmandu. After brief sightseeing in Kathmandu, we drive to the beautiful city of Pokhara and then to Bani. This is where we start the trek as we pass Bans Kharka. We further trek to the village of Nagi before we reach Mohore Danda. After making some prodigious memories, we either trek to Upper Fulbari or Danda Kharka. Then we walk to the village of Tikok and then to Baseri. This is where our trek comes to the end. We drive back to the city of Pokhara and then to Kathmandu. 

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

When you arrive at TIA in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up. After welcoming you to Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. After you check into the hotel, you will provide you with all details the of Mohore Danda Trek Itinerary.   In your free time, you can relax your body and adjust yourself to Nepal’s atmosphere. You can also take some wanderings around the hotel. Thamel is a great place to stroll and explore the beauty of Kathmandu. You can also go shopping for the trek. In the evening, we will enjoy a welcome dinner together and get introduced to the crew. Then, you can also enjoy the nightlife of Thamel.  Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu:

Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal is a beautiful place to visit. Known as the city of temples, Kathmandu Valley has many heritages listed on the UNESCO list. Today, we will explore some of these places.  After breakfast in the morning, we will drive to Swayambhunath Stupa. This stupa on the hilltop is famous as “Money Temple”. From the top, the entire Kathmandu Valley is visible. From Swayambhunath, we shall drive towards Pashupatinath. This is the most important religious place for the Hindu’s around the world. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The huge premises of Pashupatinath is worth exploring. Then, we drive towards Bouddhanath. Now, we stand in front of the biggest spherical monuments of Nepal. Bouddhanath is an important pilgrimage site for Buddhist people. The place is decorated with colourful flags and rotating wooden wheels. The entire place feels calm and peaceful. Finally, we drive towards Patan Durbar Square. This is one of among three Durbar Square of the valley. The area reflects the art and culture of the place. We can visit many places inside the Durbar Square.  After sightseeing Kathmandu, we will drive back to the hotel. We need to complete our preparation for the trek. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara, 8 hours

On the third day of the trek, we drive to Pokhara. The drive starts early in the morning at 7 am. About 8 hours of journey takes us to the city of Pokhara. The drive along the bank of Trishuli River is prodigious. Although the driving journey seems long, the beautiful scenic landscapes and small towns along the highway will keep you engaged. Driving along the beautiful perennial rivers surrounding by huge green hills is an awesome experience.  Pokhara, the city of lakes is Nepal’s most preferred tourist destination. The place will welcome you with the jaw-dropping view of the Annapurna Himalayan range. The beautiful and peaceful scenic lake is worth exploring. If we reach Pokhara early, we can also enjoy boating in Phewa Lake. Or you can simply stroll around the streets of Lakeside. You can stay up late to explore the night-life of Pokhara. Day 4: Drive to Beni, Drive and Trek to Bans Kharka (1,525m), 2 hours

Today, the actual trek beings after we drive to a place called Beni. From Pokhara, we drive to the Galeshwor suited in Myagdi district. About 4 hours of drive from Pokhara will take us past Nayapul. Driving along with views of the Modi River we finally get to Beni Bazar.   On the way, we will stop at Kusma. Kusma has the highest suspension bridges in Nepal. Now, there is also a bungee jumping from the bridge. After some time on the bridge, we drive to Beni. In Beni, we spot for lunch and then start the trek. This new trekking trail takes us to Banskharka as we walk through the terraced fields of rice and corn. On the way, we cross multiple villages local villages that appear out of nowhere in the forested area. About two hours of the walk takes us to our final destination for the day. Day 5: Trek to Nagi Village, 4-5 hours

After a delicious Nepalese breakfast in the community lodge, we begin our trek. As we walk towards our destination, we experience a pristine presence of nature and culture. As we move forward, the trail starts to show its magical charm. The colourful village house, green lush vegetation, and the occasional glimpse of mountain leaves overwhelming impressions on you.    The day is a mixture of adventure and fun as we walk past the beautiful village of Suntala Kharka. Then, we cross a forested area while we head towards Nagi village. The path is mostly levelled with occasional ups and downs. If we walk slow and steady, it is easily achievable.  Overnight in Nagi Village

Day 6: Trek to Mohore(Mohare) Danda (3,300m), 5-6 hours 

This is the most important day of our trek as we reach our important destination. The trek to Mohare Danda commences after breakfast at Nagi village. We walk past the beautiful trekking trail that bestows us with awesome views of surroundings.   As we walk forward, we cross a beautiful viewpoint called Him Pal Pass. The pass stands at 3,098m above sea level and provides a stunning view of natural surroundings. After some rest in Him Pal Pass, we continue our trek. Few hours of trek eventually takes us to Mohare Danda. Once we reach the top, we can enjoy a spectacular sunset view. Again, we will stay in a community lodge that reflects the pure hospitality and culture of Nepal. Day 7: Trek to Upper Fulbari or Danda Kharka, 4-6 hours 

Today, we will wake up at the highest point in this journey. We will walk up early in the morning to witness the beautiful sunrise view from Mohare Danda at 3,313m above sea level. I n the early morning, the views of Himalayan vistas are captivating. The peaks of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Annapurna will greet us.  After an awesome breakfast in the lap of Himalayas, prepare to embark on the trekking trail. Few hours of the walk take us to the small village called Fulbari. We can either stop at Fulbari or further trek to Danda Kharka for the overnight today. Both places bestow us with the beautiful views of the Himalayas and the surrounding landscape. If the weather is good, we can enjoy a stunning sunset in the evening. Then, you can enjoy the dinner of typical Nepalese cuisine. Overnight in Upper Fulbari or Danda Kharka

Day 8: Trek to Tikot Village

After enjoying the beautiful sunrise from the night’s spot, we further move to the village of Tikot. As we continue our walk, we walk past different viewpoints such as Thula Kharka and Sikha Danda. Here, we witness the wonderful views of Ramche and Sikha villages. The trail then winds up and down along the majestic hill. We walk along the forested area and cross some streams as we reach the village of Tikot.  Tikot is the awesome ethnic Magar settlement in the hilltop. On Tikot, we can explore the cultural beauty of the village. We can interact with the locals to learn about their lifestyle and traditions.  Overnight in Tikot

Day 9: Tikot to Baseri (Bashari) and drive to Pokhara

This is the last day of our Mohare Danda Trekking. After authentic breakfast in Tikot, we trace a path that leads us to Basari. A short trek-mostly downhill takes us to Baseri. You can enjoy as you savour the beauty of the deep valley, hills, and villages. Within 3-4 hours, we reach our destination. Baseri is the small settlement right next to KaliGandaki River.  From Baseri take a jeep ride along the Kaligandaki River Valley via Galeshwor and Beni. The drive by a private jeep along the bumpy road is going to be adventurous. When you reach Pokhara, you can let your body get some rest. Or you can explore the beautiful city of lakes and enjoy the night-life of Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara

10: Drive to Kathmandu

After the delicious breakfast in Pokhara, we drive towards Kathmandu. Kathmandu is our final destination for the trek. The drive by a tourist vehicle is luxurious and fun. As we drive along the bank of Trishuli River, the views of mountains and hills will accompany us. About eight hours of driving takes us to Kathmandu. Then, we shall check-in over our hotel in Thamel. In the evening you can do some shopping around the place. Thamel has some great shop that sells a classic piece of arts. You can buy them as a gift for yourself and your loved ones. Then, we will enjoy a farewell dinner together. We will talk about our journey as a team and celebrate success. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 11: Departure

Today is your final day in Nepal. In the morning, you can enjoy your last meal in Kathmandu. As per your flight schedule, you will check out from the hotel. Then we will drive you to Tribhuvan International airport. Three hours before the flight schedule, you will be dropped in the airport. Waving a final good-bye to the country of Himalayas, you move towards your next destination.
